Daniel McCarthy (Don) has 40 years of international real estate experience includes developments in South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States. He has been involved in the development of more than 3000 residential units, 10 hotels, twelve shopping centers, and a multitude of office space, creating more than ten million square feet of developed space.
The total value of his real estate projects exceeds $1 billion in the USA and abroad in locations such as South Africa, the U.K., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Many of the projects have been developed in Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Don has served as a director and then a non-executive director of GCF Development since inception.
As part of his endeavors, Don served as financier, producer and a performer in “Diamond River Hunters” a seven-part reality series that detailed a mission to discover alluvial diamonds in the river valleys of Lesotho in Southern Africa. The series was purchased by Discovery Channel among others and aired in more than 50 countries worldwide, plus it remains on YouTube. Don has over the years created employment opportunities, directly and indirectly, for over 25000 individuals through his various business endeavors.
